acceptance in the heart

In the last few days, personally, and especially after the “Standing the Time” seminar last Saturday, the question of acceptance has kept me busy. In the seminar we dealt with what particularly moves us today and makes us think. We asked ourselves what it does to us, how it affects us and how it shows up in us. We delved further to find out how to shift, change and transform it.

In the last few months we have been confronted with a lot that can trigger, challenge and possibly overwhelm us. We are confronted with facts, forced into decisions and confronted with events that can easily bring us into a space where we "don't want to know anything anymore". Be it the current situation with Corona, vaccinations, conflicts in the Middle East and many other parts of the world, child abuse, political corruption, environmental pollution, etc. A part of our mind can see everything as very bad, evil or wrong. We may not see any (way out) and no direction. Be it for ourselves or for humanity.

It may sound exaggerated and almost frightening. But is that so? Isn't it simply a battle that our mind fights within itself, because many things are beyond its horizon? There is a horizon that can overlook this and give a deeper sense of what is happening right now. Remember how a diamond was formed. A diamond is created by pressure and is brought forth by this pressure. How many times in life have we experienced pressure and then “slipped out” in a new guise to realize that imagining the mind wasn't the only way!? And so we are more and more exposed to this "diamond pressure". It's getting faster, more violent, more acute, more tricky, more decisive.

Herein lies our great opportunity. We have the opportunity to choose at any moment. It is our free will where we direct our energy and attention. It is our free decision whether we want to "fight with" or "heal with". Then when we step out of our thoughts, beliefs and fears for a moment and listen to our heart, we discover that a big step there is "acceptance". Acceptance doesn't mean that we become dull and deadened. Nor does acceptance mean that we "give in" in a way that we just fall asleep. Nor does acceptance mean that there is just nothing to do. But what does it really mean?

Acceptance is the realization from our consciousness that in the first step we can see, feel, act out, experience what is happening in us. We can live out our anger, cry out our sadness, dance our joy. Everything that happens in us requires our fullest dedication. In the next step, this leads us to acceptance of what is happening within us. It's okay the way it is. We're okay the way we are. As soon as we allow ourselves this, we loosen the knots within us that want to prevent us from also accepting the outside. We can accept what is happening outside! That's okay the way it is too. There is nothing to fight against, just something to stand up for. There is also joy as we recognize within ourselves that there are many ways to Rome - many ways to inner and outer freedom!

From this freedom we can create again. We see the ways that give us an overview of what life offers us as an opportunity through it. We see what there is to heal, what to change, what to recreate. When we are in this acceptance, the door opens for us to make true decisions that come from our heart. We begin to get back into the flow, to dance as the word says - accept-DANCE! We start dancing with the circumstances. We move with them. We experience a new vitality that gets us out of the "rut" and shows what is possible.

Where and what are you allowed to accept in yourself and on the outside? What can move for you? What would you like to start dancing with? What decisions are you allowed to make for yourself as a soul? What will bring you further on your own individual way of life?

With all love,
